Welsh instrumentalist Gwenifer Raymond, is set to announce her third studio album, to be released September 5th on Canadian label We Are Busy Bodies. Last Night I Heard the Dog Star Bark is a hybrid of the ancient and the futuristic, where the arcane etchings of occult folk horror fuse with the unfathomable equations of the cosmos. As celeWales born, Brighton-based instrumentalist Gwenifer Raymond is a celebrated champion of the finger-picked guitar. She has drawn international acclaim for her repurposing of Mississippi blues and John Fahey’s intricate Americana to embody her roots in rural South Wales and her interests in folk horror and the avant garde, inventing a new form dubbed Welsh Primitive. The Guardian has described her as a “profound talent” whilst The Observer has praised her “awe-inspiring technique and intense musicality”, and Uncut Magazine has championed her “fast-developing talents as a composer of eerie menace.”The release of Gwenifer Raymond’s third studio album Last Night I Heard the Dog Star Bark in September 2025 via Canadian label We Are Busy Bodies has seen a torrent of international recognition and exciting opportunities. Highlights amongst those include a Tiny Desk concert, KEXP session, events including Primavera Sound and the Newport Folk Festival, high profile tours with Geese, The Tallest Man On Earth and dates with Mitksi at venues like the Royal Albert Hall.Newly signed to Fat Possum, the next 12 months promise a glut of further activity, including debut music for the label and first-time reissues of her first two albums, Strange Lights Over Garth Mountain (2020, Tompkins Square), a Welsh Music Prize Nominee, and You Were Never Much of a Dancer (2018, Tompkins Square).

The Brudenell has been in the past most famous for hosting secret gigs for bands like Franz Ferdinand and the Kaiser Chiefs. However, it has been a centrepiece of the Leeds music scene for a number of years, and hosts events most nights of the week, which are put on by a variety of local promoters, covering a wide spectrum of genres.
The Brudenell is not just about music... facilities include: a lounge, Games Room with Snooker Table, 5 Pool Tables, Darts, Table Football, two large concert room, Sky TV and BT Sport showing all the live sports in HD.

Venue access
Brudenell Social Club has step free access from the entrance through to both event rooms. There is also a newly installed accessible toilet, which is accessed via a RADAR key.
Companion Tickets
