Margate’s only Día de los Muertos family friendly event. An event celebrating and honouring loved ones that have passed on by keeping their memory alive. Feel free to bring photos, offerings, or notes to add to our communal altar (ofrenda). Skeleton face paint and traditional clothing are encouraged. (Just to be mindful and respectful to the culture.) Expect: Latin Music, Mexican Food (The Perfect Place to Grow), Communal Altar, Piñata, Lotería, Children Book Readings & Arts and Crafts.
This event is free, but donations are appreciated. Some proceeds will be given to the Margate Death Cafe, a support bereavement group for locals struggling to navigate grief.
