After the better part of a decade spent producing for artists like Salem Ilese, Arlo Parks, Jordana, and the booyah! kids, scoring for film and video games, and founding, writing, recording, and touring with indie-R&B collective MICHELLE, Brooklyn-based multihyphenate Charlie Kilgore is bringing his first solo performance piece – Live From The Afterlife – to London. Ping-ponging between campfire storytelling and psychedelic, gut-punching folk-rock, Live From The Afterlife tracks Charlie's experience growing up with Cystic Fibrosis (a terminal lung disease), bracing for a death that never came, grappling with the 11th-hour arrival of a miracle cure, and stumbling ass-backwards into the back half of a life he never expected to have.
